Job Details Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Setting: Mixed-acuity surgical oncology unit Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Shifts Per Week: 3 Duration: 16 weeks Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Charting System: Epic Start Date: September 21, 2026 Contract Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU, stepdown, or progressive care experience required Current acute care experience preferred and expected to be recent/consistent BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required Experience with Epic charting preferred Ability to work with adult and geriatric patient populations Background in surgical oncology, telemetry, or med-surg nursing is highly valued Strong candidates should be comfortable with float expectations within scope of practice Responsibilities Provide skilled bedside care for PCU and med-surg level patients in a busy surgical oncology setting Monitor patient status and respond to changing conditions using strong clinical judgment Administer and manage chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin drips, and heparin drips as indicated Support patients experiencing oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome Perform and assist with chest tube care, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention, patient safety, and fall reduction Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, coordinated patient care Float to other acute care oncology units within scope of practice when needed Apply now for this rewarding PCU Registered Nurse travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio, and join a dedicated healthcare team today.
