Job Details Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel RN Assignment Length: 13 weeks Weekly Hours: 36 Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts Shift Schedule: Day shift and night shift options, with every other/third weekend required Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Location: Columbus, Ohio (Columbus, OH) Setting: Mixed-acuity PCU environment with adult and geriatric surgical patients Job Requirements Active RN license in hand at time of submission 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down RN experience required BLS and ACLS required Experience with similar adult and geriatric patient populations preferred Previous charge RN experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred Ability to work rotating shifts and support weekend coverage Must be comfortable floating within the organization as needed Responsibilities Provide high-quality bedside care for adults and geriatrics in a progressive care setting Care for patients recovering from burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial procedures Manage specialized interventions such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy Administer and monitor complex treatments including arterial lines, central lines, IV insulin protocols, and blood product administration Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias while supporting safe, timely escalation of care Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, and support respiratory and medication therapy needs Float to other units within the organization as needed to meet patient care needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent patient outcomes Apply now to join a collaborative healthcare team and advance your travel nursing career in Columbus, Ohio.
