RN - ICU

ICU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. The RN will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and utilizing advanced medical equipment in accordance with best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patients with various medical conditions, including those requiring multiple medication drips.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and utilize assessment tools such as CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
• Care for patients undergoing hypothermia treatment and those with pleurevac chest tube drainage.
• Utilize Allscript EMR for documentation and managing patient information.
• Observe strict isolation precautions, including hand hygiene protocols.
• Follow standard operating procedures and critical care practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN License to practice in New York State or by reciprocity.
• A minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is preferred.
• Required certifications: AHA BCLS, ACLS, PALS; CCRN and TNCC are preferred but not required.
