MASHAWEE GRILL

Job Description

As a Line Cook at Mashawee Grill, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality Middle Eastern meals quickly and efficiently. You will work on the line—grilling meats, preparing sides, assembling platters, and keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and organized.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, season, and grill authentic Middle Eastern items (shish kabobs, shawarma, falafel, kefta, etc.) according to restaurant standards.
Prep fresh ingredients daily (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, preparing sauces/dips like garlic spread and tahini).
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized station during service and ensure proper food storage/labeling.
Work closely with back-of-house staff to manage order flow and maintain fast, reliable ticket times during busy hours.
Follow all state and local food safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

Experience: Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or grill master in a commercial kitchen preferred (experience with Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine is a big plus, but not required—we will train the right candidate!).
Language Skills: Ability to speak Arabic is a major plus (helps with team communication and kitchen flow), but English proficiency is required.
Skills: Strong knife skills, familiarity with commercial grill/kitchen equipment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Traits: Dependable, punctual, team-oriented, with strong attention to food quality and hygiene.
Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
