Position Overview

This position is for a skilled nursing facility specializing in rehabilitation and sub-acute care. The facility covers all system diagnoses while adhering to specific admission criteria. It is important to note that this is not a custodial or long-term care position.

Unit Information

• Type: Sub-Acute Care
• Average Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 8:1
• Total Bed Capacity: 87
• Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 45-50

Job Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role is the rehabilitation of patients within a skilled nursing facility environment. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care and support to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Previous charge experience preferred

Requirements

• Weekend Shift Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Floating: May be required to float between similar units as needed

Work Environment

The facility offers free parking and utilizes the Epic charting system. Staff members are supported by interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy support.

Additional Information

• Orientation: 40 hours
• Holiday Coverage: Commitment to working three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) required
