Exciting Opportunity for a Recovery Nurse!

Job Description:


- Seeking a passionate nurse with a minimum of 1 year experience in PACU, along with ER or ICU background.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- First-time travelers are welcome!
- Special requirements include:
- Proficiency in Cerner
- ER or ICU experience
- Phase II and discharge experience.
- Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) with weekend requirements of every other weekend.
- No floating or on-call duties!

Job Duties/Additional Information:


- Care for Pediatric to Adult patients.
- Focus on post-op, Cath lab patients, and surgical procedures.
- Responsible for Phase II recovery and patient discharge processes.
- Unit staffing and scheduling details:
- Patient ratios: 4 patients per nurse.
- Daily census: Approximately 25 patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
- Support various patient diagnoses, including post-operative care for surgical patients.

Additional Skills Required:


- Airway assessment and management
- Medication reconciliation
- Conscious sedation
- Phase II recovery
- Starting and maintaining IVs
- Provide discharge instructions and follow-up care.
