The SLP works collaboratively with students, families, teachers, behavior analysts, and other members of the educational and clinical team to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based interventions that promote functional communication, social participation, independence, and quality of life. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication and related assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, student needs and educational/clinical goals. Address receptive and expressive language, articulation, pragmatic/social communication, fluency, and functional communication needs. Assess and support the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication, including communication devices, picture-based systems, and other communication supports.
