Senior Trust & Estate Litigation Paralegal

Burrey Law Group is a growing boutique trust & estate litigation firm seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support complex probate and trust disputes. The ideal candidate is systems-driven, proactive, and comfortable owning litigation workflows from intake through hearing and trial preparation. Key Responsibilities Support all phases of trust & estate litigation matters Draft and format pleadings, discovery, declarations, and correspondence Coordinate scheduling with clients, courts, and vendors Organize and maintain litigation files, exhibits, and hearing/trial binders Handle e-filing and service of motions, pleadings, and discovery Maintain accurate matter notes, tasks, and communications in Smokeball Prepare hearing and trial materials under attorney direction Track deadlines in coordination with a remote docketing specialist Perform limited in-office administrative work (mail intake, scanning, file organization) Required Qualifications Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program Certified Paralegal (CP) or Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in trust & estate or related civil litigation Strong knowledge of California probate codes and court procedures Demonstrated litigation drafting experience Excellent organizational, time-management, and legal writing skills High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and practice-management software Ability to work independently with accuracy and sound judgment High school diploma or equivalent Preferred (Not Required) Familiarity with Smokeball Work Arrangement Full in-office role (5 days per week) to ensure consistent litigation support and workflow stability Burrey Law Group is an equal opportunity employer.
