Through evidence-based practices, individualized supports, and collaborative partnerships, we empower those we serve to strengthen independence, enhance daily functioning, build meaningful relationships, and succeed in their homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.The Occupational Therapist provides services across multiple programs and settings, supporting individuals in achieving greater independence and participation in daily life. Working collaboratively with individuals, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams, the Occupational Therapist contributes to the assessment process, develops and implements individualized treatment plans, and provides therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings. The Occupational Therapist helps individuals build the skills necessary to successfully navigate everyday activities, strengthen functional abilities, and improve overall quality of life.Other Key Responsibilities:Assess functional abilities, identify barriers to participation, and contribute recommendations to individualized intervention plans.Identify sensory processing challenges and implement appropriate sensory strategies, environmental modifications, and adaptive approaches to support success across settings.Provide therapeutic interventions to individuals and families in both individual and group formats.Communicate evaluation findings and treatment recommendations through verbal and written reports while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members.Develop and implement individualized Occupational Therapy treatment plans based on each individual's strengths, needs, goals, and priorities.Provide training, coaching, and support related to community participation, independent living skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and other functional life skills.Promote skill development, self-advocacy, problem-solving, and increased independence across home, school, work, and community environments.Qualifications:Must possess a current Massachusetts License and National Board certification as an Occupational Therapist.Previous experience working with youth and young adults with mental health challenges, required.Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving history, required.Pay Range: $35.00 - $36.93At Open Sky Community Services, we open our doors, hearts, and minds to the belief that every individual, regardless of perceived limitations, deserves the chance to live a productive and fulfilling life.Open Sky is on an anti-racist journey, committed to learning, living, and breathing inclusion, opportunity, diversity, racial equity, and justice for ALL.At Open Sky, you'll join over 1,300 compassionate and highly trained professionals who put innovative, evidence-based practices to work in ways that positively impact our communities across Central Massachusetts and beyond.As a trauma-informed organization, Open Sky strives for transparency and sensitivity to the experiences of those we interact with.
