Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Location: Bronx, NY
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 3 Days/Week | 34.5 Hours/Week

• Traveler Rate: From $3,300/week
• Local Rate: From $2,700/week

An experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to support surgical services in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves performing both scrub and circulating duties , assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in perioperative nursing, including IV therapy, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.

• Perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams in the operating room
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and infection control standards
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and healthcare staff

• Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Scrub and circulating roles
  • IV insertion and phlebotomy
  • Conscious sedation
• Active New York State RN License
• AHA BLS & ACLS Certifications (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

• Strong knowledge of operating room procedures and protocols
• Excellent patient care and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environment
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
