Scope of PositionWe are currently accepting applications for an energetic, experienced Group Sales Manager to join the team here at Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South. Our award-winning property is 300 suites with 40,000 sq. ft. of meeting, pre-function, and event space. We have an experienced management team, which runs this very busy hotel and convention center in an exceptional manner with high standards, expectations, and strong results orientation.Position RequirementsPreferably four years of experience in Hospitality SalesPreferably two years in Hotel Sales Manager role in a comparable hotel/role.Local market experience preferredPassion and enthusiasm for hospitality are a mustExcellent communication skills - verbal and writtenSelf-motivated and willing to learnProactive sales approach – assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeedStrong time management skillsProficient use of Salesforce, Cvent, Meeting Broker, and Microsoft Office suiteBasic mathematical skills that allow for calculation of room blocks and average ratesAbility to travel throughout designated markets in a timely mannerAbility to organize detailed informationAnalytical ability to decipher data and make sound decisionsResponsibilitiesOrganize activities such as telemarketing, outside sales calls, conducting site visits, entertaining clients, developing and soliciting new leads, presenting and preparing written proposals and contractsDevelop target lists and action plans for account solicitationParticipate where appropriate in related trade civic/business-related functionsBe present at and provide service to client events as requiredProficiently utilize Salesforce (Delphi.fdc) to log activities and mine for opportunitiesProficiently utilize market intelligence provided by the hotel to uncover future business and opportunitiesAchieve quarterly/annual booking goals/quotasCompile weekly productivity reportMaintain and adhere to company valuesTravel as required when requested by Sales ManagerPerform other related duties as assignedEducationBachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree preferredSkills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate in the English language.
