Job Details

As our organization moves through a significant transition, including M&A activity and the relocation of our team to a new facility in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, we are seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the people function and help shape the next chapter of our business.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and President, aligning people strategy with business goals during a period of transition and growth.
• Experience with M&A activity
• Design and lead change management efforts that support employees through organizational changes and the move to a new facility.
• Oversee employee relations, including investigating concerns, coaching managers, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive, trusting workplace culture.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle for exempt and non-exempt employees, from recruitment and onboarding through development and offboarding.
• Partner with external recruiters to attract and hire talent for warehouse, engineering, quality, and office roles.
• Administer and oversee a comprehensive benefits program, including managing the annual renewal process and serving as a resource for employee questions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including wage and hour requirements.
• Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and handbooks that reflect the needs of the organization.
• Support compensation planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on, day to day HR execution in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment strongly preferred, with an understanding of the roles and workforce you will be supporting.
• Proven track record leading change management initiatives and guiding employees through organizational transitions.
• Strong employee relations skills with the ability to build trust with employees at all levels, from the floor to the executive team.
• Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt employee populations.
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, thriving in a small, fast-paced organization.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
• Private equity backed company experience is a plus.

Ability to travel to Somerset, WI during the first two months of employment.
