Role Overview

The Vice President of Finance will serve as a strategic financial leader and trusted partner to the CEO and executive team. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role suited for a finance executive who thrives in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven environment. The VP of Finance will own the full spectrum of financial planning, reporting, and operational finance, while helping shape the company's growth strategy through rigorous analysis and sound financial judgment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Lead annual budgeting, multi‑year financial modeling, and rolling forecasts in close partnership with the CEO and department heads
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decisions including pricing, market expansion, partnerships, and capital allocation
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership and the Board of Directors

Reporting & Controllership

• Oversee accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial integrity across all entities
• Manage external auditors, tax advisors, and banking relationships

Operational Finance

• Partner with Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams to optimize revenue recognition, billing processes, and reimbursement workflows
• Own cash flow management, treasury functions, and working capital optimization
• Evaluate and improve financial systems and tools to enhance scalability and reporting efficiency

M&A & Corporate Development

• Support due diligence, financial structuring, and integration activities related to acquisitions, partnerships, and operating agreements
• Lead financial modeling for transaction scenarios including valuations, earnouts, and go‑forward P&L projections

Team & Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Build and mentor a high‑performing finance team as the organization scales
• Serve as a key cross‑functional partner to HR, Legal, Operations, and Commercial leadership
• Prepare Board‑level financial presentations and investor materials

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
• 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior finance leadership role
• Proven experience in a healthcare, digital health, SaaS, or life sciences environment
• Strong command of GAAP, financial modeling, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a lean, high‑growth company environment
• Experience managing or supporting M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial structuring, and post‑close integration finance
• Excellent executive communication skills — able to distill complexity for diverse audiences
• Experience with MSO/MSA structures and DME billing, reimbursement workflows, or healthcare revenue cycle management
• Prior experience as a finance leader in a venture‑backed or PE‑backed company, ideally through a fundraising round or liquidity event
• Experience with debt financing, including securing credit facilities, venture debt, or other structured financing arrangements
• Strong FP&A capabilities, including scenario modeling, cash runway management, and Board‑level financial reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi‑entity corporate structures and intercompany accounting
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Rippling, or similar ERP/HRIS platforms

Work Model

This is a hybrid role based in the Needham, MA area. The VP of Finance will be expected to be on‑site at our Boston headquarters on a regular basis, with flexibility for remote work. Occasional travel may be required for investor meetings, site visits, and corporate development activities.
