Immunology Research Lead

We are currently seeking an Immunology Research Lead for a biotech company in Gaithersburg, MD. This position requires a seasoned scientist who can oversee antibody discovery initiatives, shape experimental strategies, and enhance platform capabilities.The Immunology Research Lead will collaborate closely with scientific leadership and interdisciplinary research teams while actively participating in laboratory work.Responsibilities* Oversee antibody discovery and development projects utilizing hybridoma, immunization, and vaccine-based methods* Create immunogens and establish effective immunization protocols* Plan and conduct studies related to target characterization, antibody-antigen interactions, and candidate selection* Utilize bioinformatics and protein biochemistry data to drive experimental decisions* Assess antibody candidates through biochemical and functional analysis* Identify ways to enhance existing discovery platforms* Offer scientific guidance across projects and communicate results to senior management* Collaborate with research collaborators in various scientific fieldsQualifications* Master’s degree or PhD in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, protein science, or related field* Extensive lab experience in antibody discovery or development* Proficiency in hybridoma technology, vaccine development, immunogen design, or similar platforms* Proven track record of leading experimental programs and introducing new scientific methods* Willingness to conduct research at the bench level* Background in biotech, pharma, or academic research environments* Knowledge of protein biochemistry, molecular modeling, sequence analysis, or structural biology is a plusIf you are passionate about driving innovative antibody development projects, apply now for this exciting opportunity.
