Join our team as a capable and caring mentor in a fun and supportive environment.
We're seeking individuals with youth development experience to implement educational, enrichment, and recreational activities.
Locations include Suncook Club House, Pittsfield Elementary School, and Epsom Elementary School.
What You'll DoYouth Development and Supervision
1.Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes that:
- Promotes program participation by delivering engaging day-to-day activities that meet established expectations.
- Orients new members to daily scheduling and program expectations, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Provides guidance, role modeling, and constructive feedback to promote skill building and development in program areas.
- Demonstrates leadership through adherence to safety and licensing best practices to ensure member safety.
- Accountably tracks members in their assigned group by name, face, and attendance.
- Maintains program space cleanliness, organization, and upkeep to ensure a positive environment.
Program Development, Implementation, and Supervision
2.Designs and administers programs, services, and activities that cater to member needs and interests.
3.Evaluates and ensures the quality of programs, services, and activities to maintain Club and child safety standards.
4.Monitors and adjusts programs to meet member needs, including tracking outcome metrics and responding to diversity and cultural requirements.
5.Documents issues and incidents using injury/incident reports to ensure accountability.
6.Communicates effectively with child care licensing and DCYF when necessary.
7.Participates in special programs, events, and training days.
8.Attends regular staff meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
9.Facilitates open communication with families, staff, and members through effective verbal and written interactions.
10.Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements- Must have a High school diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of 600 hours working in a school-age program.
- Must have documentation of at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation, or another field of study focused on children, awarded by a regionally accredited college or university.
- Employees who are 19 years of age may be assigned to the senior program.
- Knowledge of youth development is required.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems is necessary.
- Ability to communicate with parents/guardians is required.
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth is essential.
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment is necessary.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications in order to meet Bureau of Childcare licensing requirements.
- Occasional travel for meetings/training, etc., may be required.
- May be asked to drive the Club van/short bus occasionally. (21 plus years of age only)
- Must possess a safe driving record and submit a copy of such record to either the Operations Director or the Human Resources Department.
- All of the candidates that are offered a job with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire will have to submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and submit to a background check through the State of NH Criminal Records Dept. and First Advantage. Note: The State of NH Childcare Licensing Bureau may prohibit you from being employed by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire should there be a disqualifying finding on your criminal record. In addition, even if the State of NH reviews your records and allows you to work at the Club, we still reserve the right to determine your employment status.

Any such mistreatment or abuse by an employee will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and cooperation with law enforcement.
