Job Description
The Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and reliable transportation of children to and from school and other approved destinations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe environment by following all traffic laws, childcare transportation regulations, and Little Creations Learning Center policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintaining accurate transportation logs and vehicle records; ensuring children are properly secured in seat belts or approved child restraint systems; safely loading and unloading children; maintaining appropriate child-to-staff supervision during transportation; communicating effectively with parents, school personnel, and center staff regarding transportation needs; keeping the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition; reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly; and assisting with other center duties as assigned when transportation services are not being provided.
