Elliott products are manufactured to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction for installation. Also includes custom installation of hydraulic valves, cylinders, and controls. Basic knowledge of 12v electrical systems and basic wiring techniques.Essential Job FunctionsInterpretation of mechanical drawingsConventional and precision measuring instrumentsProcess inspection, certification, and documentationBuilds and/or modifies equipment in accordance to established specifications to meet specific project requirementsRepairs and/or modifies existing and new products accordance with established specifications and proceduresEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and suppliesPromotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practicesPunctual and regular attendance is requiredPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedMust have own toolsRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Hydraulics and 12v electricalMechanical aptitudeAbility to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to attend to visual and written details in order to identify errorsAbility to function effectively as a team playerCommunicates effectively both verbally and in writingGood math and measurement skillsAbility to read and understand engineering drawingsAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyMust be self motivatedEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma, or equivalentPrevious mechanical experience requiredThree years of Hydraulic knowledge in a job shop environment preferred but not requiredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently throughout the day, depending on work related circumstances.Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level and be able to lift from lying position on back overhead. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another.This position includes the following physical demands:Extending and pulling the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while working with various tools as mentioned before.Seizing, holding, rasping, turning, pulling, or otherwise working with hands and arms.Using arms in such a way as pulling of tools, wrenches, parts, and equipment to complete the job.Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling).Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to climb up and down trucks, steps, and ladders safety.Elliott Equipment Company is an equal opportunity employer.
