Caregiver – Residential Care Facility for the Elderly

Position: Caregiver
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Full Time Position Available: 3 Days/Week. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. (7pm-7am)

Part Time Position Available: 1 Day/Week. Friday Only. (7pm-7am)
Location: 13321 Prospect Ave., North Tustin, CA 92705
Schedule: Only Night Shifts Available (12 hours. 7pm-7am)

Pay: $250/Day for a 12 hour shift
Reports To: Administrator

About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and responsible  Caregiver to join our residential care facility for the elderly. The caregiver will provide personalized assistance and supportive care to our residents while promoting their dignity, independence, comfort, and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring, attentive to detail, and comfortable working as part of a team in a residential care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to elderly residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate.
• Prepare and serve meals and provide assistance with eating when needed.
• Follow individual care plans and accurately observe and report changes in residents' condition or behavior.
• Assist with medication reminders and medication-related tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
• Provide companionship and encourage appropriate social and recreational activities.
• Assist with laundry, light housekeeping, and maintaining residents' personal spaces.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to residents' needs and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including care notes and required shift records.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, healthcare providers, and management.
• Protect residents' privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and personal rights at all times.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable state regulations.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient attitude toward elderly residents.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong observation, communication, and organizational skills.
• No criminal record. Background investigations will be conducted.

Physical Requirements

The caregiver should be able to stand and walk for extended periods, assist residents with daily activities and mobility, and perform routine physical tasks associated with providing residential care.
