This structured program provides hands‑on training across multiple logistics functions and prepares you for future leadership roles within Penske Logistics. Eligibility You have an undergraduate degree. Your leadership track record is evident, whether in class, on campus, in your community, or in the military. You’re legally authorized to work in the U.S.A. (no sponsorship for employment visas). Each program will start on the first of the month and run for approximately 9‑12 months. You’re able to commute to "city, state" daily. Open to relocation after completion of the program. Benefits Pay: $25.00 per hour with an approximate annual salary of $55,000 (including overtime). Program Overview This position offers candidates valuable experience to launch their career with Penske. The comprehensive training program equips you with the skills needed for key tasks such as selection, loading/unloading of trailers, cross‑docking, and customer service operations in a manner consistent with company services and cost objectives. Throughout the program you will learn to properly plan work assignments, ensure effective use of warehouse equipment, and develop leadership skills that prepare you to lead a small group of hourly associates in a distribution center management operation. Responsibilities Ensure associates are motivated, engaged, trained, and competent, and understand how their work relates to customer business objectives. Foster a safe work environment by complying with and administering established safety and operational procedures. Understand location‑specific customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations daily. Effectively resolve issues and monitor day‑to‑day operations for compliance using organizational and time‑management skills. Develop a thorough working knowledge of the site’s operating systems to ensure compliance and exception resolution. Learn the Kaizen methodology and implement Lean processes. Analyze and apply basic principles of inventory management, receiving goods, storage of goods, and shipping goods from a warehouse environment. Qualifications Willingness to relocate based on business needs or upon completion of the Logistics Trainee program. Bachelor’s Degree required; in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics, or related field is a plus. Demonstrated leadership through school, community, clubs/organizations, or the military. Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship). Internship or related work experience in a customer‑facing role preferred. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms. Committed to learning and growing; receptive to feedback and developing self‑awareness. High level of commitment to operation and job responsibilities. Results oriented, with attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills. Builds and develops positive working relationships within the department at all levels. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and work at the specific location required. Physical Requirements Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
