General Job Description The Summer Assistant Site Director works collaboratively with full-time directors and summer staff to ensure a successful Summer Institute. This role leads key operational functions, including Scholar attendance tracking, assessment implementation, and program evaluations.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and management of Scholar attendance
• Assist Site Directors with management of Scholar information in BTM’s database, Salesforce
• Assist Site Directors with Scholar discipline/conduct issues
• Lead/assist with implementation of the Teaching Assistant program
• Lead the implementation of assessments throughout the summer and assist Site Directors in designing, implementing, and overseeing Evaluation Week schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Two or more years of relevant experience
• Outstanding track record as a professional educator for a minimum of two years preferred
• Prior experience with leadership, management, people management, or leading teams
• High degree of flexibility; ability to multitask between projects
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in many different environments
• Ability to deliver positive, construction, and honest feedback; both written and verbal
• Comfort and confidence in working with children and adults

Schedule and Compensation

Dates and Times:

Prior to Summer Program: A few hours a week in May, as needed

Required Staff Training: May 10 & May 17, 2026, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Start Date: June 6, 2026

Teaching Fellow Orientation: June 6- June 12, 2026, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summer Program: June 15 -July 24, 2026, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. May start earlier depending on site schedule.

Evaluation Week: July 27–July 31, 2026, Monday – Friday, as needed

Compensation:

$4,500 stipend (paid over three pay periods)
