About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty License: RN license required Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology, cardiac and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required Experience with vent and transplant patients Description: The traveler will work in both IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and IMC Thoracic unit. Shifts are Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Candidates should have access to critical telemetry and cardiac telemetry skills. Experience with managing ventilated patients and post-transplant care is needed. Nurses must demonstrate proficiency in managing various patient scenarios, including hemodynamic instability. The ideal candidate will provide care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients. The position requires critical thinking and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Candidates should be familiar with specialty procedures in an academic setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex medical diagnoses. The unit encompasses a variety of patient care needs, and knowledge of various equipment and protocols is necessary. All interested parties must meet the strict passing criteria for telemetry exams before commencing employment.
