Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide circulating nurse coverage in the operating room across multiple specialties (GYN, ENT, Urology, Orthopaedics, General, Vascular)
- Deliver perioperative nursing care using the nursing process from pre-op through post-anesthesia care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, and intraoperative documentation; monitor and respond to changes in patient status
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members about procedures, expectations, and care plans
- Assist with patient positioning, specimen handling, and timely post-operative handoff to recovery

Requirements
- Active Arkansas license or Compact license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- 2+ years of Operating Room experience (required)
- MediTech EMR experience (required)
- OR circulating experience across GYN, ENT, Urology, Orthopaedics, General, and Vascular (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting and participate in the call schedule (3–4 shifts per month; one 24-hour weekend)

Education
- Graduation from an approved registered nursing program with active licensure
