Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• ADN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience.
Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation; recovery of heart caths (femoral/TR bands); PIV insertion; chest tube/indwelling drain management; drip management (cardizem, amio, heparin, lasix, protonix); CBI; detox/CIWA protocol experience; and central line care.

Required Credentials:
Associate Degree or Certificate.

Unit Details:
Cardiac Renal Unit caring for post-cardiac procedure patients, including heart cath, ablation, and pacemaker patients, as well as A-fib with RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, and behavioral health/detox patients.
Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7; charge nurse takes a patient assignment.
May require precepting students and new hires.

Shift & Scheduling:
Three weekends out of every six-week schedule.
Every other holiday.
Orientation week hours may vary. Hours may also vary during holidays when the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements:
First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN), 8 miles away, and potentially Deaconess Henderson (KY), 11 miles away. Two hours notice is given for cross-campus float. xhyhwjd Mid-shift float within the same campus may occur; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
