Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership and supervision of nursing and ancillary staff on the assigned unit, working with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and the care team.
- Lead and coordinate patient care planning, initiating and revising individualized care plans in conferences with the health team, patients, and families.
- Direct and monitor nursing staff performance and patient care activities to ensure safety, quality, and appropriate resource use; participate in direct patient care as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, introduce yourself to patients and families, and solicit feedback on the quality of nursing services; address concerns promptly.
- Develop and implement strategies with leadership to improve patient experience and satisfaction, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage unit operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adequate staffing, adherence to standards, and a patient- and family-centered approach.

Requirements
- California RN license (active, in good standing)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum five years of technical nursing experience; minimum two years of supervisory/charge nurse experience required
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS (AHA/ARC) required; NRP (AHA/ARC) required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring within last 2 years required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum two years of supervisory/leadership experience as a charge nurse
- Must have current FHM experience and be able to work the Night shift
