Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within 6 months of hire or transfer
• At least one year of acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge care for emergency department patients of all ages.
• Accurately assess and notify the emergency medical team of any significant changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and provide patient education on side effects.
• Recognize and act upon symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency care protocols including Code Blue and Trauma Activations.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
