Overview Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 09/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,780 per week to $2,934 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: travel assignment in a hospital-level care environment. This role focuses on planning and providing comprehensive nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families, including handling emergency situations and circulating for C-sections. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,780 – $2,934 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12) Work setting: Travel assignment in a hospital environment Start date: 09/14/2026 Responsibilities Plan and provide nursing care for patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergencies and intraoperative circulating for C-sections. Assess patient status, implement care plans, administer medications as ordered, and document clinical data accurately. Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, respond to changes, and coordinate with the obstetric team during emergencies. Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice, collaborating closely with CNAs and other team members. Educate patients and families, support emotional well-being, and contribute to discharge planning and follow-up education. Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with policies and procedures; ensure accurate charting and handoffs. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in California (in good standing) Ability and readiness to work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule Demonstrated ability to provide care across the labor and delivery spectrum (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum) Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with CNAs and other staff Graduate of an accredited nursing program; willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding processes for a travel assignment Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Credentialing and onboarding assistance Travel logistics and housing support Dedicated assignment support throughout the contract Note Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
