Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent: Required
• Current RN license in state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification: Required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course: Required
• Two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience: Required
• EPIC experience: Required

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, considering age and cultural differences.
• Initiate a multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment in managing perinatal emergencies.
• Assess fetal and maternal wellbeing, vaginal bleeding, and amniotic fluid status.
• Manage pain control during labor and support alternative pain control methods.
• Educate patients and families throughout the perinatal experience.
