Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families.
- Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies; circulate for C-sections as needed.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications and interventions per policy, and document changes accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary staff; delegate tasks within scope of practice.
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards through careful assessment and timely interventions.

Requirements
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour, 3x12 schedule.
- Strong clinical skills in a Labor and Delivery setting.
- Excellent communication and patient-education abilities; comfort working with families.
- Adequate adaptability to emergencies and high-acuity obstetric care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to following unit policies, procedures, and professional standards.
