Truck Driver CDL A Regional Solo

Position Overview Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Newburgh, NY offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay guarantee of $1600 with additional incentives such as solo miles, stops, and per diem. Paid training. Schedule: Sunday‑Thursday or Monday‑Friday, 50+ hours per week. Job Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and logs. Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check (including verification of last 3 years). Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years. Ability to follow written/oral instructions and read interpret laws, rules, and regulations. Additional Details • Deliver solo to NY, CT, MA, NH, RI, PA, NJ, and the 4 boroughs – no Manhattan. • Route: regional. • Tractor type: sleeper. • Trailer type: dry van 48' and 53’. • Ryder trains you on all equipment. • Freight: tailgate deliveries – windows.
