Maintenance Supervisor

SK pharmteco is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, Drug Substances) and registered intermediates for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Our integrated facilities located in California, Texas, and Virginia specialize in process development, scale‑up, and cGMP‑compliant production from kilograms to multi‑ton quantities. We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Rancho Cordova, CA (greater Sacramento area). This is a 24/7/365 manufacturing facility, so the position will be off‑shift. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the successful completion of assigned activities including maintenance, construction, installation, alteration and repair of on‑site buildings, structures, facilities, equipment and machinery. The role involves organizing and directing the work of individuals and project teams, ensuring activities within defined scope are accomplished in accordance with company policies, sound business practices and in compliance with FDA and OSHA regulations. The supervisor will provide support for maintenance functions such as Maximo administration, coordination with contractors and AMPAC personnel, and planning and coordinating construction activities. Direct supervision of individual bargaining unit employees is required. Responsibilities : Provide direction to subordinates guided by established policies and precedents. Supervise skilled trades and craft personnel performing tasks such as machine repair, air conditioning and refrigeration, carpentry, painting, machining, welding, plumbing, cement finishing and unskilled support and maintenance. Provide on‑the‑job training and instruction to unit personnel. Inspect work sites to ensure machinery and equipment are in safe and efficient working condition and that facilities meet all industrial hygiene standards. Plan workloads and assignments of personnel in accordance with predetermined schedules and availability of personnel, materials, supplies, parts and equipment. Interpret prints, layouts and outlines and apply special considerations or techniques to successfully complete work. Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure quality and timelines of assigned projects. Maintain continuous safety surveillance, instruct and investigate safety problems. Coordinate with appropriate operating production or engineering personnel to resolve problems, expedite deliveries of materials and supplies, and determine priorities. Prepare reports and maintain records regarding unit activities including work in process, work completed, machine and material utilization, and employee work time. Perform duties as administrator of the maintenance CMMS (Maximo) in all functions available through Maximo. Oversee all contractors working through the maintenance department on capital and small in‑house projects of new and repair of site facilities and process equipment. Qualifications Have worked in a manufacturing environment. Have at least 4 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Have at least 2 years of management experience. Must be able to work off‑shift and weekend (24/7/365 facility). Education and Experience Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Four (4) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience. Competencies / Skills Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and proficiency in plant operations, normally obtained through trade school, experience and in‑house training. Read blueprints, P&IDs and wiring schematics. Knowledge of mechanical components including reactors, pumps, valves, fans, filters. Progressively responsible experience in the maintenance field.
