• Unit Notes:FLU VACCINE REQUIRED - NO EXEMPTIONS OR EXCEPTIONS ICU higher acuity patients in PACU as boarders. Additionally patients wait for beds greater than their recovery time as boarders Peds experience required 111 East 210th Street 1. ICU Background & Acuity Strong indicators: SICU, Transplant ICU, Neuro ICU, or mixed-acuity ICU Manages vents, vasoactive drips, invasive monitoring Comfortable with rapid deterioration and escalation No Step-down or telemetry only Cannot clearly describe acuity or critical decision-making --- 2. Transitioning from ICU to PACU Strong indicators Mentions rapid assessment, anesthesia recovery, airway vigilance Understands short-term, high-risk monitoring vs long-term ICU management Prior PACU exposure is necessary No: Thinks PACU is less acute Limited understanding of anesthesia-related complications --- 3.
