This role entails direct patient interactions, assessments, and therapeutic interventions in a supportive and collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist at Periscope, your role will encompass a variety of critical tasks, including:Directing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring physical function.Supervising and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of therapy plans to ensure compliance with treatment goals.Assessing patients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests to inform treatment modifications.Evaluating the home environment to recommend adaptations that enhance patient independence during rehabilitation.Administering therapeutic exercises, administering treatments such as traction and massage, and providing education and training to clients and family members.Participating actively in the development and refinement of patient care plans, ensuring thorough documentation of progress and patient responses.Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights that shape holistic patient care strategies.Patient Population / Client FocusOur patient population includes a diverse range of individuals seeking rehabilitation services due to post-surgery recovery, chronic illness, injury rehabilitation, or age-related decline. Our commitment to personalized care ensures that each patient receives tailored interventions that not only facilitate recovery but also empower them towards maintaining autonomy in their daily lives.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following credentials and attributes:A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within acute or home care environments.Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.A passion for clinical excellence, integrity, and the commitment to fostering positive patient outcomes.Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and cross-functional teams.A proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.Preferred ExperienceWhile not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques, experience with advanced rehabilitation technology, or a background in working with geriatric populations will find themselves well-suited for this role.
