Certified Surgical Tech

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Certified Surgical Tech to support high-quality patient care in busy hospital ORs. In this role, you'll prepare operating rooms, set up instruments and supplies, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures. You will assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and ensuring accurate counts and specimen handling. You'll follow strict infection control standards and safety protocols while collaborating with a mission-driven, supportive team focused on excellent outcomes and professional growth across diverse clinical settings nationwide. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for scheduled procedures Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards Assist surgeons and RNs during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Anticipate surgical team needs and ensure efficient case flow Verify equipment functionality and troubleshoot basic issues Handle and label specimens according to protocol Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments Turn over and restock OR between procedures Document intraoperative information per facility policy Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and staff to support quality patient care Required Skills Sterile surgical technique Operating room procedures Instrument setup and maintenance Assisting during surgery Patient positioning and prepping Intraoperative monitoring and documentation Surgical equipment troubleshooting Infection control and prevention Electronic health records (EHR) Post-operative room turnover #J-18808-Ljbffr Health Advocates Network, Inc.
