Powder Coat Painter

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our production team. In this role, you will prep, hang, and coat a variety of metal parts and products to exact specifications, ensuring a flawless, durable finish that meets our high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and plug parts to ensure proper powder adhesion. Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain spray guns, powder hoppers, and ovens. Application: Apply uniform coats of powder paint to products while minimizing waste and preventing defects (runs, sags, or thin spots). Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for color accuracy, mil thickness, and overall surface quality. Oven Management: Monitor curing oven temperatures and conveyor speeds to ensure proper baking times. Equipment Maintenance: Clean spray booths, guns, and hooks regularly to prevent color contamination and ensure optimal operation. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in industrial powder coating or liquid painting. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrostatic application, mil thickness gauges, and curing processes. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in environments with varying temperatures. Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for color matching and identifying surface imperfections.
