Intellectual Property Patent Agent (AI, Software, or Electrical)

Overview Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting a Patent Agent to join the Intellectual Property group in several offices including Denver, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Wilmington. Responsibilities This position provides an opportunity to be involved with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. Current admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). At least two years of working experience as a licensed patent agent. Experience drafting and prosecuting patents related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other emerging technologies. Experience in client counseling or working in the software and hardware related industry is a plus. Collaborative, motivated, and client‑focused teamwork skills. Excellent academic credentials and strong written and oral communication skills.
