Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Birthing Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor Delivery Recovery Postpartum (LDRP) nursing and be comfortable providing care for a diverse range of patients, including those with high-risk pregnancies.Unit InformationUnit Type: Birthing Center/Mother BabyL&D Beds: 13OR Suites for C-Sections: 2Triage Beds: 2Postpartum Beds: 14Average Births: 170-190 per month, with a total of 2,104 deliveries in 2025Staffing Ratios: 1:2 in Labor and Delivery; 1:3-4 for coupletsResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.Assist with deliveries independently and circulate during C-sections.Transition newborns and facilitate bonding between mother and baby.Monitor and titrate intravenous (IV) drips, including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin.Collaborate with an in-house OBGYN/hospitalist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP) for patient care.Participate in unit-based orientation and complete necessary compliance training.QualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, specifically LDRP.Current BLS Certification and NRP Certification required.Preferred certifications include Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM).Ability to read telemetry strips and respond to patient needs effectively.Ability to function in both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum settings as needed.Schedule and Work RequirementsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday days)Holiday Requirements: Rotating schedule with permanent staffResponse time when placed on standby: 45 minutesAdditional InformationThe manager fosters a positive work environment and values open communication and feedback among staff members.
