Physician - Cardiology

Job Details:

• Coverage needed per month: 2-3 weeks
• 24-hour call schedule with clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• When on hospital call, provider works in clinic on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with Tuesday and Thursday as full clinic days
• Minimal night-time calls expected
• Support staff includes Techs and RNs
• Responsibilities include evaluation and management of new and established patients, cardiac risk assessment, EKGs, Holter monitor placements, pacemaker checks, supervision of EKGs, treadmill stress tests, nuclear stress testing, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Patient volume of 22-24 patients per day; 30 minutes for new patients, 15 minutes for established patients
• Patient age group: 18 and older
• Required skills include EKG interpretation, TEE, and nuclear stress testing
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Active WV state license required; IMLC accepted
• DEA required
• 6-month engagement with option to extend
