Outsourced Accounting Manager (United States)

TGG, A DLA Company, is seeking a talented full-time Accounting Manager to support long-term outsourced accounting for a Nasdaq-listed company. This role is ideal for a hands-on CPA who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and delivering accurate, audit-ready work in a fast-moving environment.

This is a fully remote, client-facing, billable role where you’ll own assigned accounting workstreams end-to-end, reporting to the engagement Controllers and CFO. You’ll support a team responsible for the company’s monthly close, consolidation, financial statements, SEC reporting support, external audit coordination, and internal controls.

Target start: November, ahead of the Q4 close and 10-K.

What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Manager at TGG, you’ll take ownership of key balance sheet and income statement areas and help the team meet the demands of a public company reporting calendar.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Owning assigned account areas, such as cash, prepaids, accruals, and intangibles, from preparation through audit-ready support
• Preparing reconciliations, journal entries, flux analyses, and workpapers that tie to the consolidation and support the 10-Q and 10-K
• Operating and documenting controls within your workstreams, including preparer and reviewer sign-offs, supporting evidence, and audit trails
• Responding to external auditor requests and supporting quarterly reviews and the year-end audit
• Reviewing staff accountants’ work and providing guidance
• Identifying new or unusual transactions, accounts, or entities, raising issues early, and proposing solutions
• Meeting firm close and reporting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will bring:

• An active CPA license (required)
• 3–5 years of total experience, including at least two years in public accounting and experience at the Audit Senior level
• A hands-on understanding of SOX and internal control over financial reporting, including control design, documentation, and audit evidence
• A strong grasp of substantive audit procedures and what makes accounting support audit-ready
• SEC reporting exposure, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and footnotes (strongly preferred)
• The judgment and initiative to work independently, flag issues promptly, and move work forward without detailed direction
• Clear, concise communication skills and a sense of urgency suited to a public company close
• Comfort with evolving systems and processes, including planned ERP and close tool implementations

Industry experience is not required; exposure to mining or critical metals is a plus.
