Electro-Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianSchedule: 2nd Shift / Flexible hours • Overtime availableExperience: 2+ years industrial maintenance requiredAbout the RoleSmyth's Chicago facility is looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to keep our label and packaging production running at peak performance. You will troubleshoot and repair a wide range of industrial equipment — mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic — in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment, motion controls, motors, pneumatic systems, and pumpsTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems using precision measuring and testing instrumentsRead and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to diagnose issuesMaintain inventory records and replenish machine parts, tools, and maintenance suppliesFollow and promote all safety policies; identify and report unsafe conditionsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of industrial machinery maintenance experienceAbility to read electrical and mechanical drawingsStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsAvailable for off-schedule calls and overtime as neededPreferred QualificationsPLC and HMI literacyExperience with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, BRC/ISO quality systemsFamiliarity with CMMS software (MVP One a plus)Strong time management and communication skillsAbout Smyth CompaniesSmyth is a leading label and packaging converter with facilities across the U.S. We offer competitive compensation based on your skills and experience, a collaborative team environment, and real opportunities to grow your career in manufacturing.Apply today and keep our production running at its best.
