Local wind turbine manufacturer is hiring for an Accounting Clerk. This position is a long-term temp position. This position will work within the Finance and Accounting Department processing vendor invoices for payment. ensuring that vendor invoices agree to Purchase Order values and quantities, are mathematically correct, and accurately reflect the number of goods and services received.


Responsibilities:

• Sorts and matches invoices and check requests.
• Keys invoices and check requests for payment.
• Provides remittance information for payments.
• Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Resolves invoice discrepancies.
• Maintains vendor files.
• Opens and distributes paper mail for processing in a timely manner.
• Corresponds with vendors and business partners, provides status updates, and responds to inquiries.
• Follows accounting processes and internal controls to ensure transactions are properly recorded and assets are safeguarded.
• Actively participates in department metrics.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 2 Years excel experience
• Previous experience with QuickBooks or SAP/AP
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Proficient in data entry
• Attention to detail

Compensation:

$20.00/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
