This Product Engineer will be responsible for overseeing new chip product introduction, production ramp, yield sustaining and improvement in foundries to support Lumentum’s business needs and demand in High Power Laser business.In this position you will:Drive yield improvement and product cost reduction post production ramp from Fabrication to Final test.Perform statistical data analysis and trouble shoot potential root causes for yield excursion in foundriesRun process vs product parameter correlation to understand process/product margin and drive improvementMonitor and review day-to-day operations with foundries to meet quality and delivery goalsRun process vs product parameter correlation to understand process/product margin and drive improvementDrive yield improvement and product cost reduction post production ramp in foundriesEngineering material dispositionSupport failure analysis for production and RMASupport closure of quality cases and enforcement of foundry quality improvementFailure analysis for NPI and sustaining products and RMAEngineering material disposition at wafer acceptance testCo-ordinate with R&D, Product Engineering, process integration and contract manufacturer and collect necessary information to provide faster response to the customer for field failuresRequirementsMS or PhD in electrical engineering, materials science, applied physics, or other relevant fields.Deep understanding of semiconductor device process/physicsStrong statistical data analysis skill and experience are highly desired (JMP or Minitab etc.)0-3 years of hands-on experience in device design, wafer process, device assembly, and testing for either optoelectronics or semiconductor devicesKnowledge of III-V epi design and growth and experience with VCSEL or EEL is a plusFamiliarity with foundry operation modelsFamiliarity with failure analysis tools of semiconductor devicesPay Range:P40-USA-1 :$85,000.00 - $121,400.00Disclaimer:Final base salary for the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job location, where work will be performed, qualifications, work history and relevant experience.
