Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Brea, CA (Hybrid Schedule)

Pay:

• Contract: $38 – $45 / hour
• Upon Conversion: $80,000–$95,000 annually
• Annual Bonus: Estimated 5–8%

Summary

An established organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting while contributing to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger and subledger records, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support audits by providing financial documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
• Maintain process documentation and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide accounting guidance and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS experience is a plus).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets and complex formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
