Seven Healthcare are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a travel assignment in the bustling Operating Room environment of Santa Fe, NM. This role is integral in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients and ensuring a sterile surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician

• Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for breaches in protocol.
• Provide comfort and support to patients before surgery.
• Transport and position patients for surgery.
• Prepare the Operating Room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Establish and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Ensure preference cards are accurate and updated.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member to ensure patient care and safety.
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions for patient and personal safety.

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program
• 2 or more years of experience preferred
• BLS certification via AHA required
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required
