Construction Attorney

We are partnered with a full-service Southeast regional law firm in search of a Senior Associate or Counsel for their Charleston office. With a thriving, multifaceted construction practice and a client base of regional and national industry leaders, our client is widely recognized for its strength in complex litigation and dispute resolution. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience to work on all aspects of complex construction disputes, including drafting pleadings, arguing motions, handling discovery and depositions, attending hearings, and trial. Our client serves a diverse group of clients representing all participants in the construction field, primarily regional and national homebuilders, owners, developers, and general contractors. The practice also advises on the negotiation, preparation, and review of construction contracts, and provides preventative counseling on issues such as payment and contractor claims, scheduling and delays, defective construction and warranty obligations, alleged design defects, liens, and building code compliance. The group represents clients in mediation, arbitration, and litigation across both federal and state courts, and appears before government regulatory bodies on licensing and building code matters. Qualifications 6+ years of complex litigation experience, including motions practice, discovery, depositions, and trial Construction law experience beneficial but not required Strong communication, research, and writing skills Our client offers the sophistication and deal flow of a large regional platform within an active, dynamic, and thriving practice.
