Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to operate company software and hardware to access customer account information. Ability to balance cash and checks against system totals. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established company guidelines and safety procedures.

Experience in a utility, retail, billing, or similar customer-facing environment. Experience preparing funds for deposit. Experience working with customer account or payment processing systems.

This role is responsible for providing customer service while accurately processing payments and maintaining customer account information. The position handles cash, checks, and money orders, balances and secures collected funds, and prepares payments for deposit. The role also responds to basic payment and company program inquiries and directs customers to the appropriate support channels for additional assistance. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service experience, and accuracy in cash handling are essential.

Receive payments including cash, checks, and money orders for services and/or products. Operate company software and hardware to access customer account information. Balance cash and checks on hand with system totals and prepare funds for deposit. Answer basic inquiries related to payments and general company programs. Refer customers to the appropriate customer service/telephone support team for service requests, high-bill inquiries, and other customer service functions. Secure all operating and collected funds. Perform various monthly clerical office tasks. Follow company guidelines and established safety procedures.
