Lead Electrical Estimating for a Growing Austin Contractor
A highly respected electrical contractor with over 40 years of success and $50M+ in annual revenue is seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead and oversee its estimating operations.
This is a unique opportunity to join a financially stable company with a strong reputation in the Austin market while working 100% remotely from anywhere in Texas. As a key member of the leadership team, you will help drive bid strategy, mentor estimators, and play an integral role in the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the estimating department
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Oversee the estimating process from opportunity identification through bid submission and award
- Collaborate with project managers, executives, vendors, and subcontractors
- Develop pricing strategies and evaluate project risks
- Mentor and support estimating team members
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, and industry partners
Qualifications
- Extensive electrical estimating experience
- Leadership experience within an estimating department
- Strong background in commercial electrical construction
- Experience estimating large-scale commercial, healthcare, or industrial projects
- Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
