Days, 8 hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM (40 Hour Guarantee)

Job Description

The Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic exams/procedures in the Ultrasound department efficiently according to physician's orders. This role involves working effectively with patients and physicians while maintaining cooperative relationships with interdepartmental personnel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct studies in a timely and efficient manner and assist colleagues during downtime.
• Verify exam charges and manage the 5-day late list daily for the ultrasound department.
• Organize workload to expedite patient care during high-volume periods.
• Assist physicians in performing various radiology procedures.
• Promote positive departmental relationships and address concerns with supervisors proactively.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and develop new methods for supply utilization.
• Handle equipment safely, adhering to guidelines and policies.
• Maintain a clean work area following cleaning policies and procedures.
• Respond to on-call duties within the specified timeframe and assist in other areas of radiology as needed.
• Adhere to attendance, tardiness, dress code, and safety and infection control policies.
• Engage in required in-services and departmental meetings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience as a Sonographer (Required)
• Registered Echo/Vascular Sonographer (Required)
• Proficient in performing Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast (Required)
• Experience in both Echo and Vascular studies including TTE, TEE, stress echo, venous reflux exams, venous dopplers, carotid doppler, arterial doppler, ABI, pericardiocentesis, thrombin injections, and vein mapping exams (Required)
• Able to start own IV (Required)
• MediTech Experience (Required)
