As a Principal Sales Executive for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a DoW partner strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon’s utility computing web services to help modernize and transform enterprise and mission systems with strategic partners to provide cloud based capabilities for the Department of War. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen. Key job responsibilities In This Role, You Will Develop a growing book of business in the Department of War sales team. Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, and pursue key opportunities. Establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the AWS partner community. Have day-to-day interactions with key strategic partners, DIB partners and emerging tech partners Have both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at senior military and civilian levels. Have a technical background that enables them to easily interact with partners, staff officers, contracting officials, software developers, and architects. Have experience thinking strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. Help identify key strategies for growth that apply across the Defense and Intelligence business areas Be able to travel as necessary. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of technology sales experience Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects, or experience communicating results to senior leadership Bachelor's degree or above, or 5+ years of equivalent experience 10+ years working with Systems Integrators and/or technology partners supporting the DoW Preferred Qualifications US government security clearance of top secret or above 7+ years of enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry experience Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Master's degree and 5+ years of professional or military experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
