Job Description Part-Time Authorization Specialist Cochise Sleep Center - Sierra Vista, AZ Cochise Sleep Center is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Authorization Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations and verifying patient benefits to ensure coverage before services are provided. Responsibilities: Verify patient insurance eligibility through insurance portals and by contacting insurance companies. Obtain prior authorizations for sleep studies and related services. Confirm authorization approvals, including accurate start and end dates. Verify referrals and ensure all required documentation is received before scheduling. Maintain accurate records of authorizations and insurance information. Communicate with physician offices, insurance companies, and patients as needed regarding authorization status. Qualifications: Previous experience with medical insurance authorizations preferred. Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
