Pay: $20 - $27 We're seeking an experienced Authorization Specialist to join a growing healthcare team. This role focuses on surgical prior authorizations, insurance verification, and accurate documentation to support the scheduling team. What You'll Do:

Pay: $20 - $27 We're seeking an experienced Authorization Specialist to join a growing healthcare team. This role focuses on surgical prior authorizations, insurance verification, and accurate documentation to support the scheduling team. What You'll Do:
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain prior authorizations
- Review diagnosis (ICD?10) and CPT codes to meet payer guidelines
- Work directly with insurance plans and internal clinics (no patient calls)
- Process and document authorization requests accurately in the system
- Update demographic information to ensure clean patient records
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards in a high?volume environment
- Support training on authorization procedures as needed
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years in medical billing or authorization
- Strong knowledge of surgical authorizations, CPT/ICD10 codes, and CMS/insurance guidelines
- Ophthalmology experience a plus
- Detail?oriented, reliable, and HIPAA?compliant
